I must admit after reading some prior reviews on other sites I was a bit skeptical booking a room here. Wow, were we pleasantly surprised! The hotel is set back behind a Steak-N-Shake which makes it more quiet than directly on 192. It is an older property, hence a real Olympic size and separate kiddie pool with updated chaise/umbrella table chairs. Huge oak trees shade picnic tables set in a grassy area. The hotel has recently been renovated including bathrooms, mattresses etc. It is well kept and clean with both the housekeeping and maintenance staff right on top of things. Our room provided hair dryer, coffee maker, iron/ironing board, small fridge, microwave and in room safe (free). Also included was cable tv and free wifi. Guest laundry facilities are available. The lobby included several computers for free access, along with a small area containing games and vending machines. A free USA Today newspaper can be picked up there daily. A desk where tickets can be purchased along with information and coupons on things to do also shares the lobby. Light breakfast and lunch can be purchased on property. The prices are very reasonable and grabbing a bite there would be convenient before you board the free theme park shuttle (that’s right - free shuttle) (saving attraction parking fees). We found the location to be perfect for us. Medieval Times is a stone’s throw away. Disney is a straight shot down 192 about 12 miles. Two miniature golf courses (one across street) are also very close. A Kissimmee bus stop is located near the Steak N Shake. Don’t forget that free shuttle! There is a Super Walmart across the street (where we loaded up the fridge from). A fairly new Super Target, Dollar Tree ($1 flip flops!), Marshalls, etc. within five miles. Several restaurants, fast foods are easily accessible (all on 192). Our fave was the brand new Denny’s! I wrote as much detail as I could in this review to not only report on our hotel stay, but give future visitors information that may make their stay easier. This is not a luxury hotel but a great place to stay for those looking for a clean, safe, convenient accommodation. I might add that we paid less than $40 a night during our visit. A true bargain for the knowledgeable traveler.
